About R & D

Albert Einstein once said, “If we knew what we were doing, it wouldn’t be research, would it?” Led by Keith Davy, the research & development team of the Campus Ministry has adopted this Einsteinian approach, working to accelerate our mission through innovation, strategic learning, & resource development.

R&D Team

  • Keith Davy

Keith is the director of the R & D Team. He writes, speaks, and consults with ministry leaders, especially in the area of evangelism. When given the opportunity, he loves to go camping with his family, especially in the mountains of Colorado. Visit his blog at: cojourner.blogspot.com.

  • Rick James

Before moving into resource development, Rick served as an RD for the Catalytic and SC lanes. Writing has been a new development in his life, but it is something he has found increasingly enjoyable as he gets old and sedentary–specifically he’s motivated by any type of creative communication of biblical truth. Originally from New York, Rick is a big Giant/Yankee fan, and loathes all athletic teams from Boston. He’s been married 23 years to Katie and they have three kids, the oldest of which is heading off to college. Rick currently serves as the publisher of CruPress.

  • Tanya Walker

Tanya’s role on the R & D team includes a focus on art & evangelism. Most recently she’s given oversight to the development of Soularium. When not reading a multitude of books or enjoying God’s artistic works, she prefers to spend her time creating with paint, ink, or food.

  • Larry Stephens

Larry is a master connector who regularly surfaces new ideas, opportunities and strategies for evangelism. If there’s someone you need to meet, there’s a good chance that Larry has already made that connection. When he’s not networking for R & D, Larry enjoys attending parties in Armani suits with his wife, Amanda.

  • Betsy Harman

Betsy is the administrator of the R & D Team as well as a research specialist. She handles administrative details for both R & D and its subset publishing ministry, CruPress. She also leads the QuEST project (Questions Exploring Students Thinking), an interview tool used in evangelism to gather information about what college students think about life and spiritual things. She also has a heart for discipling college women. In her free time she is involved in the worship team at her church, playing her flute and singing. Visit her website at: www.betsyharman.ministryhome.org.

  • Kindra Pridey

Kindra is part of the Sioux Empire team in Sioux Falls, SD where there are two seasons: winter and the Fourth of July. In addition to assisting with writing and editing projects for R & D and her region, she responds to EveryStudent.com emails, and helps her local team by coaching staff women, handling finances and scrubbing the office toilets. Married to Rick (not James) for 25 years, she and her husband are attemtping to raise five children (ages 16 to 23) to be self-sufficient so they can support them in their old age.

  • Eric Pederson

Eric serves as a project specialist working on evangelism strategies and strategic learning for our staff. Outside the office he enjoys coaching basketball and spending time with his wife, Susan, and his four sons, Evan, Gabe, Luke, & Stephen.

  • Greg Clemens

Greg has been a part of the R & D team for the past three years. His work focuses primarily on developing materials and resources that will accelerate our “Every Student Sent” initiative. When not in the office he and his wife Sarah spend their time researching and developing new ways to exhaust their Australian Shepherd puppy.
